# AVGOF function

## ​​​Description

Returns the average of all numbers of a Block.

## Syntax

`AVGOF(Block)`

## Arguments

| Argument | Type | Dimensions | Description |

| *Block* (required) | Any | Any |  |

## Returns

| --- | --- |
| Number | No Dimension |

## Examples

Employee is a Dimension List:

| Formula | Result | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `AVGOF(Employee.ID)` | 2 | `BLANK` values are not taken into account when computing the average. |
