Pigment reporting charts help visualize data to identify trends, comparisons, and key drivers. You can switch a View to Chart display mode, choose a chart type, and configure how data is displayed using chart settings.

## Available chart types

| [Line chart](/v1/docs/line-chart-options) | Visualizes trends and progression in data over time. |
| [Combined chart](/v1/docs/combined-chart) | Visualizes bar and line series together to compare trends and values in a single chart. |
| [Pie chart](/v1/docs/pie-chart) | Visualizes proportional relationships between categories. |
| [Waterfall chart](/v1/docs/waterfall-charts) | Visualizes positive and negative contributions between starting and ending values. |
| [Map chart](/v1/docs/set-up-map-chart) | Visualizes geographically distributed data using markers and areas. |

To configure chart settings:

1. Select **Chart,** then **Format**.
2. The **Format Chart** panel appears.

Use the **Pivot** feature to change where Dimensions are displayed across chart axes and pages, then select **Format** to configure chart-specific settings. You can switch between chart types in this panel to view the formatting options for each chart.

> [!WARNING]
> **⚠️ Important**
>
> Use the **Pivot** panel to switch between series, X-axis, and Pages, as you would in grids. When you switch to **Chart display** mode, Filters, Sort, and Totals configurations persist. **Filters** and **Sort** affect the displayed chart, but **Totals** are not displayed.
