Grant Support Access to Your Environment

Let’s say you require the help of Pigment Support - it’s likely you’ll be requested for temporary access to your Application in order to assist you. Before access is granted, you first need to assign Pigment Support to an Application Role, just as you would for any other Member. You can also keep the Pigment Support Member active in your Workspace, adjusting their access to specific Applications as needed. This article guides you through the process.

Before you begin

To change a Member’s Role, you need the following:

  • Be an Admin Member of your Pigment Workspace

  • Have an Admin Role in the related Pigment Application

Grant Workspace access

If you are a Workspace Administrator in your Workspace, you have access to the Members Tab.

In the Members tab, you see Pigment Support listed as a Member. This is the Member that Pigment Support uses to access environments.

  • If the Member status is Activated, then the Pigment Support account has access to your Workspace.

  • If the Member status is status is Deactivated, you need to activate it.

  1. To grant access, hover over Pigment Support, click the menu (...) and select Activate.

  2. Click Activate again to confirm.

Grant Application Access

To give Pigment Support access to your environment, the Pigment Support Member needs to have a Role within your Application.

  1. Open the Security folder in the Application sidebar.

  2. Click the Users roles Metric.

  3. Find Pigment Support.

    To make it easier to find Users in the Users role Metric, display the users in Pages so you can use the Pages Search field.

  4. Double click the cell for Pigment Support.

  5. Select Admin from the menu, or type Admin.  

Pigment automatically saves this update and Pigment Support has the access it needs to this Application.

Revoke Application Access

Your support issue is solved! Next, you’ll need to remove this access.

  1. Open the Security folder in the sidebar.

  2. Click the Users Role Metric.

  3. Find Pigment Support, and select its cell.

  4. Press Delete on your keyboard.

Pigment automatically saves the update and the Pigment Support no longer has access to this Application.
