Turn Reports from being one-off analyses into living, integrated insights that can be consistently shared across the organization. You can edit Agent-generated Reports by prompting in the AI chat, or directly in the Mission output.
Mission-generated Reports can be exported to a specific cell of a Metric with the Text data type for use on a Board, so that Members without the permissions and access rights to run Missions can see the Analyst Agent’s output.
Edit a Report
Chat-Generated Reports
Any Members with access to the Analyst Agent can create, edit and share Reports by chatting with it and asking for a Report when you’re done. Reports generated can be edited by prompting the Agent in the chat, with direct editing capabilities coming soon.
Mission-Generated Reports
Reports generated by Missions can be freely edited. They support rich-text formatting, allowing bullet points, headings, italics, and more.
To find Reports from completed Mission runs:
In your Application, select Settings from the sidebar, and AI agents.
Select the Missions tab beside the Agents tab.
Ensure Show/Hide History is toggled to show all Mission runs.
Select View output.
You can edit the text by typing directly in the page. Delete individual charts by selecting them and pushing the Delete key. You can also reorganize charts by simply dragging and dropping them into the desired position. Expand and update them and save the Temporary View. To access the formatting options, select some text to trigger the rich text toolbar.
Save your changes by selecting Save Report.
Share a Report
When you edit a Mission, you can add a method for exporting your output in the final step. Currently the only method available for chat-generated Reports is by exporting to a PDF, with more methods coming soon. Mission-generated Reports can be shared as a PDF or a link, or by exporting to a Text Metric.
In the final tile on the Missions tab of the AI Agents page, select + Add then Export to a Text Metric.
In the dialog that opens, select from the drop-down of Metrics with the Text data type in your Application. The selected Metric does not need to be AI-enabled.
If you wish to create Multi-Reports and chose to Generate an output per Item of a Dimension under Output type, the Text Metric must include the iteration Dimension. Each of the Reports appear under its relevant Dimension Item.ℹ️ Note
Ensure you have Rich Text formatting switched on by default for the selected Metric, so that headlines, bullet points and bolds in the Report are preserved. To switch it on, see Format Text Data Types with Rich Text.
Fields appear for you to define which cell to export to in that Metric. At present you can export to a single cell only, with functionality for multiple cells and multiple recipients coming soon. You can select a variable to export to, such as “Current month”. For Multi-Reports, do not specify a cell as the Agent assigns each report to the relevant Item.
Choose between two export modes:
Automatic: every time the mission runs, the Report is exported automatically.
Don't export: trigger the export manually from the Report once you’ve edited and validated the content.
Add to a Board.
ℹ️ Note
To add a Text Metric to a Board, you have two options:
Add a Dimensioned Text Widget
If the Metric is already added as a Grid Widget:
Select Widget settings (the cog symbol that appears when hovering your pointer over the Widget)
By Visualization, select the third option, Cards.
