This article discusses how to approve domains so that URLs related to that domain can be used to display images in Grids and in an Org Chart.
⚠️ Important
Member must have an Account type of Security Admin or Primary Owner to be able to add domains.
What are approved domains?
How to identify a domain
Start with the URL you want to analyze. Let's use the URL https://www.example.com/path/page.html
as an example.
Remove the protocol, for example https:// from the URL, if present. This part is not part of the domain.
Locate the first / after the protocol. Everything before this slash is part of the main domain. If there is no slash after the protocol, the entire remaining portion is part of the main domain.
The portion before the first / is the main domain. In this case, www.example.com
is the main domain.
⚠️ Important
Starting January 2024, Google’s updated cookies policy prevents the use of Google Drive for hosting images. For more information, see the Google cookie policy.
Here are a few more examples:
URL | Main Domain |
---|---|
https://blog.example.net/category/article | example.net |
http://sub.sub.example.org | example.org |
ℹ️ Note
Image widgets do not require a URL to be from an approved domain.
