The Pigment Connector for Google Sheets lets you share data between Pigment and Google Sheets.
Use Load Pigment View to import data from Pigment into Google Sheets and Push to Pigment to send data from Google Sheets into Pigment. This article explains how to use Load Pigment View to create and manage connections.

Overview
The Pigment Connector for Google Sheets lets you load data from any View in your model into a Google Sheet. Once the data is loaded, you can pull the latest data from Pigment for a single connection or all connections.
⚠️ Important
The connector can load up to 50MB of data at a time into Google Sheets from Pigment Views.
After you load data into a Google Sheet, it does not automatically update when data changes in the Application. The loaded data is an export of your Application data. To retrieve the latest data, use the Pull or Pull all options in your connector.
⚠️ Important
Users with the Display Application permission can pull data from Pigment into Google Sheets. Access rights are enforced, so users can only extract data they have Read or Write access to. For more information, see Pigment Access Rights Basics.
Access the connector
After installing the connector, open the Pigment sidebar:
In Google Sheets, go to Extensions.
Select Pigment Connector.
Select Open Pigment Sidebar.
Select Login.
ℹ️ Note
Turn on pop-ups in your browser if the Pigment login screen is not visible.
Select the Workspace you want to pull data from, then select the Select button.
There are two options in the Pigment sidebar:
Load Pigment View. Use this to configure connections between Pigment Views and the current Google Sheet.
Push to Pigment. Use this to configure an import to push data from the current Google Sheet to Pigment Views.
Load Pigment View in Google Sheets
The Load Pigment View option pulls data into Google Sheets through connections. A connection links a Pigment View to a single sheet in your Google Sheet.
⚠️ Important
You can only use one connection in an individual sheet.
To set up a connection:
Select Load Pigment View.
Select the Sheet you wish to import data into.
To create a new connection, select + Create a new connection or the plus symbol (+).
Configure the connection by selecting the Pigment Application, Block and View to import from, then choose the target Google Sheet and starting Cell where the data should be imported. We recommend importing from a saved View rather than the default View, as changes to the View will be reflected each time you refresh the data.
⚠️ Important
The Workspace drop-down menu displays all Applications that contain shared Blocks, including Applications you do not have access to. You can import data only from the shared Blocks in those Applications.
(Optional) When selecting a View to import data from, turn on Include View Format to preserve the formatting and layout applied to the View in Pigment in the Google Sheet.
ℹ️ Note
Google Sheets does not support Tree View format. If the selected View uses Tree View formatting, it is exported as a Tabular View.
(Optional) Select Switch Workspace to change the Workspace for the connection.
Select Create.
Once the connection is created, the selected data is loaded into the Google Sheet and the connection opens in the Pigment Connector sidebar.
Pull Pigment data into Google Sheets
Once a connection has been created, it opens in the Pigment Connector sidebar.
Use Pull to refresh data for the current connection after changes are made in Pigment.
To refresh every connection in the spreadsheet, select View all connections, then select Pull All. You can also select Pull next to an individual connection to refresh only that connection.
⚠️ Important
Data loaded into Google Sheets does not update automatically when changes are made in Pigment. To retrieve the latest data, use Pull or Pull All.
Manage connections
Once a connection has been created, you can update its page selectors, edit it, duplicate it or delete it.
View all connections
Select View all connections to display every connection in the current spreadsheet.
ℹ️ Note
The connection name matches the sheet it is used in. If you rename the sheet, the connection name updates the next time the connection is refreshed.
Under the connection name, you'll see the Pigment Application and Block used by the connection.
Select a connection name to open it, or select the three dot menu to access additional connection options
Adjust Page selectors
You can use the drop-down menu in Page settings to adjust the Page selectors used by the connection.
⚠️ Important
Access rights are enforced in the Google Sheets connector. While all Page selector values are visible, you can import data only for values you have access to in Pigment.
For example, if you do not have access to US data, US still appears as a Page selector option, but no data is returned when it is selected.
Identify active connections in a sheet
Select the Switch to active Sheet Connection to switch to the connection associated with the current sheet. If you are viewing a different sheet when you run a connection, you'll be prompted to switch to the correct sheet.
ℹ️ Note
If a Sheet with an active connection is deleted, an error message is displayed. You can edit the connection and assign it to a different sheet.
Edit connections
Select the three-dot menu next to a connection to access the following options:
Edit connection. Update the Application, Block, View or target sheet used by the connection.
Duplicate connection. Create a copy of the connection configuration on a different sheet in the current spreadsheet. As each sheet can have only one connection, you must select a different sheet for the duplicate.
Reload View configuration. Refresh the connection to reflect any changes made to the View in Pigment.
Delete connection. Permanently delete the connection.
