Manage your AI credits

Prev Next

This article provides more information about how credits are consumed, granted, tracked, and monitored.

Credits included by plan

The number of AI credits included in your Workspace depends on your plan. Credits are granted annually and reset at your contract anniversary date.

Unused credits do not roll over — they expire at the end of your contract period.

To change the plan you are on, speak with your Customer Success Manager.

Credit consumption

AI credit consumption reflects the amount of processing required to run AI features. For Predictions, one time series consumes 0.1 AI credits. For Agents, consumption depends on the complexity of the task performed by the Agent.

As Pigment adopts state-of-the-art improvements and efficiency optimizations, the credit valuation may evolve over time.

Some AI experiences may have special commercial terms (for example, limited-time free access or phased rollout). When in doubt, your Plan & Usage and AI Credits pages are the source of truth for what is currently being counted for your Workspace. For more information, see Pigment License Types.

ℹ️ Note

If your organization has multiple Workspaces, Workspace Admins can use the Workspaces overview to compare Workspace cells, Snapshot cells, AI credits, and file storage across Workspaces. For more information, see View Usage Across Workspaces.

Reset schedule

AI credits are tracked over a billing period tied to your subscription and contract anniversary date. At the start of a new period, your usage counter resets for the new cycle.

If you purchase an add-on credit pack during the year, those additional credits are added to your Workspace and count toward the current billing period (they do not create a separate reset date).

Monitor your usage

Credit consumption is tracked in near real-time, so the figures you see in AI credit settings, Plan & Usage and the Workspace overview reflect your Workspace's actual usage with minimal delay. If you have Test & Deploy, consumption reflects the credits consumed from the current environment's allocation.

Access to usage information is limited to Workspace and Security Administrators. Administrators can use this information to:

  • Monitor overall consumption over the current period.

  • Understand trends over time.

  • Anticipate when additional capacity may be needed.

Reaching your credit limit

Depending on your plan and configuration, Pigment may:

  • Notify you as you approach your limit. For more information on this notification, see AI credits.

  • Limit or pause certain AI features once the Workspace reaches the credit threshold.

If you anticipate higher AI usage, contact your Pigment team to discuss options.

Older or custom pricing contracts

Some customers may be on an older AI pricing model (for example, separate limits for specific AI features) or on custom terms that do not use AI credits as the contractual unit. In that case, contact your Pigment team — they can confirm which AI pricing model applies to your Workspace and share your usage details.
